Milfoil Extractors LLC
Specializing in Natural Milfoil Extraction
Dear Homeowner / Business Owner:
Do you have a problem with milfoil or other invasive plants? Are they affecting your home or business? Do you need to have these invasive species removed from your property? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then I may have a solution for you. I'm looking to help combat these invasive plants from taking over our waterways and preserving our lake’s natural beauty.
My name is David Burrows and I am a graduate of Plymouth State University with a major in Environmental Studies. I have spent the past 8 years removing these invasive species. My findings are that manual extraction, hand picking or dash work (diver-assisted suction harvesting) is far more effective than the application of chemical herbicides to kill these plants. Herbicides will likely kill all the plants in that area, which in turn gives the invasive plants the ability to infest that area again with no restrictions on growth. Notification must also be given indicating no swimming or water consumption is allowed for 24 hours and diving is not permitted for two weeks after the spread of chemical herbicides. The concerns with using chemicals are the unknown consequences in the waterways of New Hampshire. Are they changing the chemical balance of the water? Are they doing damage to the animals, fish and other plants in and around the waterways?
I would like to offer my services to you in the upcoming spring and summer seasons. I am fully insured and happy to furnish references upon request.
